Five Upcoming Hollywood Movies That May Do Good Business in India

Much before the trend of South Indian movies doing good movies all over India, Hollywood penetrated the Indian movie industry. Jurassic Park in 1993 probably was the first Hollywood movie that did decent business in India but it was Titanic in 1997 directed by James Cameron that is considered the first Hollywood movie that became a blockbuster in India and after that, Spider-Man trilogy became a massive success. In 2009, again James Cameron’s movie Avatar did good business in India. In recent times Hollywood movies such as Marvel Cinematic Universe ( MCU) movies did pretty good business and movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame did business that crossed even the biggest Bollywood blockbusters and recently James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water did business of more than 300 crores in India. Here we have created a list of five Hollywood movies releasing in 2023 that might do good business in India.

The Flash is part of DCEU which earlier gave hit movies in India such as Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Justice League. The reason why The Flash has been seen as a potential blockbuster in India is because of its premise and ensemble cast. Inspired by the animated series The Flashpoint Paradox, in The Flash movie we will going to see characters of Ezra Miller’s Flash, Ben Affleck as Batman, Sasha Cally as Supergirl, and Micheal Keaton who acted as Batman in the 1990s Tim Burton’s Batman movie is coming back as The Batman which ignited lots of curiosity among the audience. It’s releasing in India on June 16, 2023, and is expected to do good business in India.

The Fast and Furious franchise starring Vin Diesel in the lead always did good business in India and it has a fan following of its own. Fast X is the tenth movie of the Fast and Furious Franchise stars Vin Diesel, Jason Mamoa of Aquaman fame, John Cena, Jason Statham, and Brie Larson is surely going to do good business in India because the franchise is already quite popular in India. Will release on 19 May 2023 in India.

  1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3

The Guardians of the Galaxy is part of the MCU and the earlier two movies of this franchise did pretty well in India. In fact, irrespective of the content, Marvel movies always do good business across the world and India is no exception. Directed by James Gunn who directed the earlier two movies of Guardians of the Galaxy is directing the third and final installment also. It’s anticipated that a few lovable characters from this franchise are going to die in the movie which evoked lots of curiosity among the audiences. Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 is releasing on 5 May 2023.

Transformers: The Rise of The Beast is an upcoming Hollywood science fiction action film based on Hasbro’s Transformers toy line and primarily inspired by the Beast Wars storyline. The Transformers franchise is another franchise that has a huge fan following in India and most of the movies of this franchise did well at the Indian Box Office. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. it is releasing in India on June 9, 2023.

  1. Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom

The first Aquaman movie was one of the highest-earning DCEU movies across the globe and in India also it did pretty well. The Aquaman series features Jason Mamoa as Aquaman and it has a big fan following across the globe. Directed by James Wan who became famous after directing the first Aquaman movie is returning as the director and along with Jason Momoa, Aquaman, and the Lost Kingdom also features Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane / Black Manta as the main antagonist and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, the mother of Aquaman. Releasing on December 20, 2023, it’s expected that it will do pretty good business in India just like the first Aquaman movie, and may do even better because of the hype surrounding it.
