Five Movies of Salman Khan that Proves He is A Good Actor Too

Salman Khan without a doubt is one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood who have many blockbusters in his career spanning thirty years. The fan base of Salman Khan is huge and even his bad movies like Race 3, and Dabbang 3 earned more than 100 crores at the box office. There is no doubt that Salman Khan is a bonafide superstar but when it comes to acting chops, many believe Salman Khan is more of a mass star than an actor. Here we have created a list of five movies that Salman Khan can act in too if the movie has a good script and is directed by a talented director.

  1. Andaz Apna Apna

.Andaz Apna Apna was the first and probably the only movie where Salman Acted with Aamir Khan. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi the movie was a big flop when released but today it’s considered a cult classic. Andaz Apna Apna is a comedy movie and it has Aamir Khan alongside Salman who is considered one of the best actors in Bollywood along with being a big star. But Salman Khan acted quite nicely in the movie and he was in no way anything less than Aamir Khan in the movie when it comes to his performance. His comic timing was perfect and it remains one of the few movies where Salman Khan proved he can act also.

  1. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam starred Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Aishwarya Rai and it was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In the movie, Salman Khan played the role of Sameer, a singer who comes all the way from Italy to Rajasthan, India to learn Indian classical music from a renowned singer and along the way falls in love with Nandini (Aishwarya Rai), the daughter of his music teacher. Circumstances make Nandini get married to Vanraj played by Ajay Devgn. We all are aware that Ajay Devgn is a brilliant actor but Salman Khan left his mark in the movie with a brilliant performance, especially during the climax. Hum Dil Chuke Sanam proves that if Salman Khan is in the hands of a good director then he can act quite well also.

  1. Tere Naam

Many consider Salman Khan’s performance in Tere Naam as one of his best performances ever. Directed by Satish Kaushik, Tere Naam was a remake of the Tamil movie Sethu. The story of the movie is set in Mathura where Salman Khan plays the role of Radhe, a local streetsmart guy who falls in love with a simple girl Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla) but his feelings are not reciprocated by her. The movie became so famous that the hairstyle of Salman Khan in the movie became a trend. Many consider the movie toxic but leaving that aside, Salman Khan gave the performance of a lifetime in the movie, especially in the second half and the climax.

  1. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Bajrangi Bhaijaan was directed by Kabir Khan and starred Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles along with Nawazuddin Siddique and Harshita Malhotra. Salman Khan plays the role of a simple and innocent guy named Pawan, a big devotee of Lord Hanuman who finds a little Pakistani girl Munni (Harshita Malhotra) who got separated from her mother. Pawan goes all the way to Pakistan to reunite Munni with her family. The movie was an emotional roller coaster that made the audience’s eyes wet and Salman as Pawan gave a brilliant performance proving his prowess as an actor. Bjarangi Bhaijaan was a blockbuster and remains one of the best movies of Salman Khan ever.

  1. Sultan

Sultan starred Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma and was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar with whom Salman later worked in movies such as Bharat and Tiger Zinda Hain but Sultan remains their best work together. In the movie, Salman Khan plays a wrestler who was an Olympic champion but due to some reason, he gets separated from his wife played by Anushka Sharma, and had to leave wrestling to do a normal job. But he has to make a comeback when a big MMA championship is being organised in India. Under the mentorship of his coach played by Randeep Hooda, he starts training for the MMA championship. Unlike other Salman Khan movies, Sultan does not show Salman Khan as some superhuman who can do no wrong. The movie shows the journey of Sultan from being a young world champion wrestler to a middle-aged man with a big tummy and Salman Khan nailed the character with his performance.
