Pyrenean Shepherds by nature are quite enthusiastic, mischievous, and intelligent, and they are unrelenting herders descended from ancient sheepdogs of the Pyrenees Mountains. Pyrenean Shepherds are divided into two groups, ‘rough-faced’ and ‘smooth-faced’ based on the varieties of their coat ‘rough-faced’ and ‘smooth-faced’. These breeds of dogs are very strong, lean, and energetic. They were used as herders to protect the cattle and today in the countryside they are still used for herding cattle. They are famous for their dynamic and free-flowing movement, and they have got dark almond-shaped eyes conveying an alert and calculating expression.

The Lagotto Romagnolo (plural: Lagotti Romagnoli) originated in Italy. This breed of dog is also known as ‘truffle dog,’ as they sport a curly coat and extravagant facial furnishings. In spite of their plush-toy looks, they are robust workers of exceptional noses who root out truffles, a dainty and pricey delicacy. Italians call them ‘carino.’ which means ‘cute’ in English. In any language, Lagotti Romagnoli are completely charming. They have got woolly curls that cover their all body from head to tail. They have a lavish beard, eyebrows, and whiskers making them very attractive. It stands under 20 inches and weighs around 15 kilos. The Hanoverian Scenthound is a calm and assured temperamental dog but at the same time penetrating with its handler, and fussy and shrewd with strangers. It belongs to the hound family of dogs and in earlier days they are used during hunting. It originated in Germany and is called Hannoverscher Schweihund in the German language. Their size varies from medium to large and their body is well proportioned and strong. It has got very sturdy limbs and because of this, they can tirelessly work.
